This is another musical that I'd like to think that there isn't a soul alive that hasn't seen it. The movie was just recently re-released for it's 20th anniversary. It's the story of Sandy and Danny's summer romance that was cut short when they both went back to their lives after meeting at the beach. However, Sandy transfers to Danny's school without either of them realizing it. When they meet again, Sandy finds out that Danny isn't quite the person she knew that summer. He's one of the Soda Shop Boys (otherwise known as the T-Birds in the movie), and he has to act tough around the guys. Sandy dumps him and falls in with the Pink Ladies, a crowd run by tough-girl Rizzo. Meanwhile, Rizzo has her own problems concerning Kenickie, another Soda Shop Boy, and a possible bun in the oven. Eventually, Sandy finds out the perfect way to get back with Danny, and everything works out perfectly with Rizzo as well. For all of you people that have only seen the movie, I would like to suggest that you also see the play. It's a lot different.
